Continuing what has become an annual tradition for Wilson and surrounding Middle Tennessee counties, the Whip Crackin’ Rodeo, a two night event, will be held on April 26 and 27, once again at the Wilson County Fairgrounds.

Since its origination nine years ago, the rodeo has given over $450,000 to nonprofits in the local community, including last year’s rodeo which successfully raised more than $40,000 for local charities.

The Whip Crackin’ Rodeo is beginning a partnership this year with The Community Foundation of Wilson County that promises to broaden the rodeo’s reach from a marketing standpoint, increase volunteer participation, and boost revenue receipts so that local nonprofits can receive even greater benefits. Launched some three years ago, The Community Foundation of Wilson County has been instrumental in providing funding to dozens of local charities, and the organization’s role in the rodeo will no doubt be of substantial benefit.

While helping to provide much needed funding for local charities is a high priority, the rodeo also dedicates one day to more than 450 special needs children that is filled with fun, games, and a true life experience of real rodeo!

For everyone’s enjoyment, rodeo organizers are working hard to make this year’s rodeo production even more special. In order to accomplish this we must depend on your financial support. Sponsors of the Whip Crackin’ Rodeo truly make the event a success and are the ones primarily responsible for the proceeds granted to the many good causes to help others in our community.
