Q: What can we expect when attending the rodeo?
A: The Whip Crackin’ Rodeo is a FULL eight (8) event rodeo completely designed for a lot of family fun. Events include Bareback Bronc Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling, Calf Roping, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Cowgirl Barrel Racing and Bull Riding. Also, the Clown Acts, Chuck Wagon Racing and surprises will be sure to entertain fans of all ages.

Q: Are there additional activities for kids?
A: You will want to arrive early for the Fun for the Kids activities that start at 7:00pm. Cutest Cowboy & Cowgirl – wear your best western gear and the Gold Rush – the kids will search for prizes in the hay!

Q: Will there be special accommodations (i.e., parking, seating, restrooms, etc.) for handicapped, disabled and/or persons with special needs?
A: Yes, the Wilson County Fairgrounds are in compliance with ADA requirements.

Q: Will food & drink be available? If so, what kind?
A: YES!! Concessions including Food trucks and vendors will be on hand to provide an authentic Rodeo experience similar to that at the county fair.

Q: Are coolers, ice chests, thermos and/or backpacks allowed on the premises?
A: Yes, but no alcoholic beverages or illegal substances will be allowed on the premises. All items are subject to search by authorities at any time.

Q: Will the rodeo still be held if there is poor weather?
A: Yes, the covered pavilion at the Wilson County Fairgrounds provides an all-weather arena, so the rodeo will continue – rain or shine!

Q: Are there new features or attractions at the rodeo this year?
A: We are always working hard to add new events and exciting additions to the Whip Crackin’ Rodeo, none more so than this year. Since the 2018 rodeo, we have added a Silent Auction each night to benefit the Empower Me Center and the Empower Me Day Camp. This addition is exciting and will be back again this year.
